Procedure

1 Aqueous Phase (A):
2 Add #1 to the main beaker and sprinkle #2 evenly and hydrate for 15 minutes.
3 Start mixing at high-speed using dispersing blade till uniform and fully dispersed.
4 Surfactant Phase (B):
5 Switch to propeller blade and add in #3 while mixing at low speed, start heating to 80 ºC.
6 At 80 ºC, add #4 and #5, and mix for 15 minutes. Cover the beaker with aluminium foil to prevent evaporation.
7 Start slowly cooling by gradually lowering temperature of the hot plate for better pearlescent effect.
8 Completion:
9 At 40 ºC, add #6, #7, #8, #9, #10 and #11, and mix each till uniform.
10 At RT, adjust pH using #12.
