Procedure

1 Aqueous Phase (A):
2 Into the main vessel add #1 and set the mixer on moderate speed.
3 One at a time add #2, through #5.
4 Begin heating to 75-80 ºC.
5 Oil Phase (B):
6 In a separate vessel add all the components of Phase-B (#6, #7, #8, and #9)
7 Commence heating to 70-75 ºC
8 Completion:
9 When both vessels are at target temperature, pour the oil phase into the water phase beaker under high speed.
10 Move beaker to homogenizer and homogenize at 1,200 rpm for 4 minutes and then 2,400 rpm for 8 minutes while maintaining temperature.
11 Move back to mixer and commence cooling while mixing at moderate speed with paddle blade.
12 At 40 ºC add #10
13 Continue cooling to 35 ºC and add #11 if desired then adjust pH if needed (4.0-5.0 range)
